DOB Commissioner Chandler is fulfilling his promise of streamlining the DOB permits and inspection process under his initiative Building One City.
The DOB launched the first phase of its after-hours inspection program for High Rise Buildings on June 1, 2015. Appointments can be requested for after-hours inspections of construction, plumbing, and electrical system, to take place between Monday to Friday evening 4:30 to 7.00 PM and weekends 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
After hour inspection requests must be submitted to HRTInspections@buildings.nyc.gov with ‘AHI’ in the subject line. Additional fees will apply.
