The DOB has a new system targeting Filing Reps. Depending on which borough office they are in, Filing Reps either wait in line to meet with a DOB representative or need to get to the borough office at the break of dawn to secure a ticket to process whatever work they have for the day. All that changes with the soon to launch electronic Q-matic system.
The Manhattan DOB will be the first to initiate a new Q-matic Kiosk. The filing representative will be able to swipe their ID to obtain a ticket. Only one ticket will be issued at a time, per ticket type. If the filing rep is a no show it will be noted and will be in monthly reports.
The Borough Managers are meeting to determine how to make this uniform at each borough.
