A change has come to the Gas Test and Gas Finish process. As of November 1, 2016 all Gas test and Gas finish inspections in the Borough of Manhattan will require a physical inspection to be witnessed by the DOB. This is a change to the prior process, which allowed for self-certification.
All inspections must be requested using DOB NOW: Inspections. The system will break out different inspection types- Up to three floors, Up to nine floors, and greater than ten floors. When making the request, it’s important to identify if the inspection is for a Gas – Test or Gas – Finish.
