Commitment to Community
Metropolis Group has long supported local and national nonprofit organizations through financial contributions and volunteer efforts. Among the recipients of the firm’s philanthropy are the following:
- Covenant House
- Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
- Greta’s Run
- Kids for Kids Foundation
- Madison Square Boys & Girls Club
- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
- Special Olympics
- United Way of New York City
- Tunnel to Towers
Each year, Metropolis employees support the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation by participating in fundraisers, including the 5K Run & Walk in New York City, which symbolizes firefighter Stephen Siller’s final footsteps from the Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers on 9/11.
In addition, the company routinely features charities in the employee newsletter and evaluates events and causes to support as an organization.
Leading by Example
Founder and President Frank Fortino serves on the Board of the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, which supports youth in underserved New York City neighborhoods, and the IDC Foundation, which provides educational grants to advance architectural design, engineering, and building construction. As a member of the NY Alliance, he also encourages fellow New York business leaders to support Tunnel to Towers.
Extended Outreach
As Metropolis expands its service area throughout the country, the firm remains committed to supporting the local communities in which it operates.
