Department of Transportation Project Manager
The successful candidate will be accountable for coordinating each project in a timely manner and will fulfill the role of liaison for the project stakeholders. Responsibilities will include reviewing logistic plans, filing documents, securing approvals, and client relations.
What You Can Expect To Do:
- Further develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the provisions and requirements of all DOT filing documents, including plans and specifications.
- Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, government officials, and other related parties.
- Able to navigate NYC Streets (DOT web filing system) and track all projects from beginning to end.
- Coordinate DOT-related agency forms for various types of filings.
- Must be able to intelligently discuss projects with clients and update the client on project status, including but not limited to filings, approvals & permits.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead activities to ensure the procurement of project objectives.
- Coordinates with office PMs and filing reps to meet the proposed project schedule.
- Update clients regarding project updates.
- Review all new and proposed work, discuss jobs with clients, advise on what permits should be filed with DOT, and coordinate technical requests with DOT reviewers.
- Vault filings (review/attend meetings and assist permit filings, if needed, and schedule and attend New Building/Major Renovation Meetings and site visits.
- Freedom of Information and Litigation Searches (FOIL)
- Submit new permit applications and insurances and register new clients with NYC streets (DOT websites).
What We Expect of You:
- Minimum of 3-5 of Project Manager experience or related
- Ability to read and understand Construction Blueprints, specifications & technical language of construction.
- Must possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills along with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, tight deadlines and work on various projects concurrently.
- Proficiency in standard computer operation and office productivity software; Microsoft software
- Collaborative team player, but also able to drive initiatives independently.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, utilizing industry-standard vocabulary.
- This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday with the schedule being 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am -5pm
The salary range for this position is $70,000 -$85,000.
