DOB Now: BPP Requirements Before Inspections

By Brian Lafferty

For all Builder Pavement Plan (BPP) applications, the BPP Plans or the Checklist in Lieu of Plans must be uploaded to DOB NOW: Inspections before an inspection may be requested.

Two documents must be uploaded into DOB NOW: Inspections before requesting a BPP Inspection:

1) BPP Final Survey; and
2) BPP Plans or Checklist in Lieu of Plans.

Both documents must be uploaded separately and users must select the proper document type from the drop down menu at that time. If either document type is not uploaded, an error message indicating which document is missing will be generated and you will not be allowed to request an inspection.

While this is a new requirement, it is now in place even for BPP inspection requests submitted prior to August 19, 2016 that have not yet been inspected. In these cases, the applicants will also be required to upload the BPP Plans or Checklist in Lieu of Plans before the inspection can be conducted. If the documents are not uploaded, the inspection result will be marked as Fail – Final.

This will trigger a need to upload the BPP Plans or Checklist in Lieu of Plans and request another inspection.
