No More Cars in Central Park & Prospect Park

By Wayne Sheppard

In an effort to create an active and healthy City, sections of Central & Prospect Parks have been made car-free.

The changes in these 2 parks began earlier this summer, with the intended goal of providing a safe environment for City residents.  Prospect Park’s West Drive has been car-free since July 6. The north loop of Central Park has been car free since June 29th.

New Yorkers and visitors alike should take advantage of these efforts and enjoy the summer weather. After all, it may be snowing before we know it.
